Captured images, both still and moving, always captivated Michael Timmons when he was growing up in North Eastern Ohio. He believes that there is an almost esoteric language that is shared between the photographer and those observing his work. Being drawn to the visual arts, Michael graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Photography and Cinema and a minor in Theatre. Shortly after, he moved to Hollywood and began working in front of the camera as a model/actor and quickly became a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild. Between acting gigs and auditions, Michael began to photograph headshots of his fellow actor friends, and by the power of word-of mouth advertising, his career as a portrait photographer was born.
In his tenth year as an Angelino, Michael and his wife decided to embark on a new adventure and moved to New York. Manhattan afforded Michael the opportunity to work with many models and Broadway actors to further refine his skills as a photographer in both the fashion and entertainment worlds. Six years later, he and his family returned Southern California and now reside in Pasadena. Michael continues to shoot on both coasts.
